From a Chinese source it is reported that His Excellency Sir Mark Young, Governor of Hongkong is interned at the Peninsula Hotel in rcom 806 on the sixth floor. He is reported to have complained about insufficient food whereupon the Japanese cut down his rations still further. The newly-appointed Japanese Governor is reported to have his quartera on the third floor of the same hotel.

Americans are organised at Stanley
with their own communal feeding arrangements, and are reported to be better off than the other prisoners. it seems clear from reports received that the British are singled out for merkedly bad treatment.

Copies of this report will no doubt
be shown to the Colonial office and the Service Pepartments,
i havề thu honour to be with the highest respect,
Sir,
your most obedient humble servent,
